Henrik Johannessen The Roots
Buy ticket It’s going well for the acoustic Americana trio Henrik Johannessen the Roots, who since the union in 2022, have played over 50 Danish concerts, been nominated for the Danish Music Awards Blues and won Acoustical Performance Of The Year at Texas Sounds, USA . Last year, HjRoots released the EP Dreamer, and are now working on their first album. However, the audience can look forward to already being presented with several new songs when the trio goes on their third tour in 2024. Solo artist Henrik Johannessen released the critically acclaimed debut album Farm Sessions (mastered by Grammy winner Pete Lyman, Nashville) in 2021. After teaming up with double bassist Peter Pelle and string player Kevin Monie, the result is a strong acoustic trio with its well-written songs (as well as individual interpretations by Chris Stapleton, Tyler Childers, Jason Isbell ect.) and traditional roots instruments (double bass, mandolin, lapsteel, banjo, guitar, bass drum) swings phenomenally and sends the crowd straight to Nashville. A new and exciting country trio worth keeping an eye on!
