Our newly launched Hawkraft Kulturhotel is a different hotel for people who are looking for both nature and cultural experiences. Furthermore, the cultural hotel is located in a culturally historical setting in Vestervig’s old hospital, which is located on the edge of Thy National Park, the Limfjord and the North Sea.
In addition, Hawkraft offers unique cultural and natural experiences in Thy – a place where the power of the sea is the main element in the area. Here, the sky is high, the sea is roaring and the wind is refreshing, cleansing both body and soul. Therefore, it gives energy, zest for life and opens up creativity.
At Hawkraft you will find a drop of the ocean and culture in everything we do.
Rooms with their own stories, and you can choose to spend the night in the X-ray, bed section or in the delivery room
Many different cultural events are backed by collaboration partners, and Hawkraft itself. The characteristic is that the joy of a shared experience is the whole essence.
Cultural meals are our concept, where a cultural event begins with shared meals.

Accommodation in Thy – Kulturhotel Hawkraft
Hawkraft is a cultural hotel located in the old Vestervig Hospital. Book a maternity ward, sleep where the X-ray tubes once hummed, and eat in the former operating room. With complete communal equipment – and with nature as your backyard and Thy Event & Nature Center around the corner – it’s a perfect place to stay in Thy with soul.

All new initiatives and all events at Hawkraft cultural scene are created in collaboration with other players.
The whole basic idea and our DNA is to create together – and the local anchoring is created by this path.
The support association Hawkkraftens Venner was founded in February 2022 by local forces, and today has more than 1,000 members.
Hawkraft history
April 2021 we are sitting on the bench at hip 90, and the idea for Hawkraft arises.
In August 2021, we will get married at the hip, and in October we will take over the buildings.
June 2022, a bus will arrive with the first guests.
In July 2023, we will open the Kulturhotellet.
Workshop actors
With us you get cultural and nature experiences in Thy all year round.
All kinds of workshops find their way to us, and where it started in the theater world, today it is actors from all genres in the cultural world.
Several rhythmic choirs hold their choir weekends here, and often with a concert in Vestervig Church, the largest village church in the Nordics.
Writer’s refuge, where the calm for contemplation creates art.
Songwriters produce hits, and the creative hand creates drawings and clay sculptures.
Nature in Thy is the obvious place for flower artists, and the literature is conveyed from our stage.
All supported by our concept ¨cultural dining¨, where we enjoy a meal together at long tables, and then enjoy some culture together.
